As someone with a number of consoles across different eras adding support for S-VIDEO and composite would be a blessing.
I was pointed to the OSSC by the designer of the Omega Entertainment Machine, as I’m having issues with a new LG TV and the fact that it does not like the Neo’s output when using the component cable.
While I see the OSSC supports this input, I would love an all in one solution for my devices, which include unmodded systems with composite like the ColecoVision, Atari systems (2600, 5200, 7800) as well as modded systems like the Astrocade with S-VIDEO out, as well as a Neo Geo AES with S-VIDEO as well.
If a solution or custom option becomes available, I would give up the onboard SCART input for onboard composite and S-VIDEO inputs in its place, to go with the existing component.
An external devices that plays well with the OSSC for composite and S-VIDEO would be welcome as well as I’d rather not go hunting for something on my own that may or may not work.
To me even with an external adapter/component device to connect to the OSSC it still falls under the category of an “all in one solution” as far as I’m concerned.
I know a lot of users in the States like myself are looking for “framemeister” alternatives, not just for gaming but for screen captures, gaming footage etc.
