    Hi everyone,

haven’t got my OSSC yet. I intend to use it primarily with PAL sources. As we know, many PAL games do not take advantage of PAL’s higher resolution and instead display black borders at the top and bottom. Is the OSSC capable of cropping those unused lines and thereby basically convert a 288/576 source into a 240/480 one?

    Cheers

Yes and no. Probably not in line double (although I haven’t tried), but for sure in Lx3 and Lx5. (It’s automatically done in Lx5, for Lx3 requires a small adjustment of V.Active).

Yes in line double as well. In the optimized modes V.active is also already set to 240. However some displays ignore or don’t support V.active changes.
