Does anyone have any pictures and instructions for installing the OSSC 1.5 audio board?

Borti had a list of instructions for doing an install with pics and he doesn’t own a 1.5 board and has no way to post pics of a complete install. The sales page mentions you don’t have to lift pin 5 of the ITE chip and Borti’s instructions cannot be used as a point of reference.

It seems kind of silly that this info wasn’t posted anywhere when the board was finalized and I come from a time when there were 72 wire PS2 mods and the original XBOX had 8 different mod chips floating around and people could still muddle through installs.

I want pics from the board level and documentation where the power, ground, and SCART connector connections are listed.

The other thing I would like to know is how to wire an HDMI port instead of DVI because its a complete waste of an HDMI chip not to have a port on these boards, even if you had to add it yourself.

Hi, there are some pictures here of an installation:- https://www.flickr.com/photos/65568095@N08/sets/72157680151185855/

I don’t really see the point of swapping the DVI connector for HDMI since DVI->HDMI adapters are readily available and cost only a few bucks.

    Thanks for the pictures 🙂
May I use copies of them to reorder and rewrite installation hints on GitHub?

Hi Borti, yep I just got permission from the photographer, go ahead and use them anywhere you like.

Thank you very much 🙂 I now have updated the GitHub repository. Installation for the VGP-board is provided here: https://github.com/borti4938/Audio4OSSC/tree/master/installation/v1.5_A3b_VGP

Any suggestions, question and so on -> please contact me 🙂

BuckoA51. I want to add the HDMI port above the DVI port. There are a lot of people that think that ‘DVI > HDMI’ adapters are a waste of space. They certainly cost more than an HDMI port does.

    Thanks for updating those pics.
