Hi! I just want to be sure I’m purchasing the right cord/adapter to properly utilize the audio upgrade. I was checking out a DVI to HDMI cable here: https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Input-Output-Adapter-Cable/dp/B014I8UQJY/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1491108907&sr=1-3&keywords=dvi+to+hdmi

However, it says, “The DVI connector of the cable is not fitted for audio capability, however, so audio will need to be transmitted through a separate audio cable or through a fiber-optic (Toslink) cable.”

My question is: What are some cables or adapters that will allow for proper audio transfer from DVI to HDMI with the audio upgrade? Thanks in advance.

Audio is supported by DVI just fine, I don’t know who started that rumour but no, no special cable is required, that one will work just fine despite what it says there.
